Some of you already follow me on Twitter and know I was honored to be invited to this event that took place in Dubai at the beginning of December. Thanks Dr. Khamashta for letting me go! 🙂
As I told you, I will be sharing with you some of the aspects that were treated in this event. However I will be doing it bit by bit and after this year has passed. My family is waiting for me tomorrow and I am afraid my little nephews won’t let me have a moment of peace 🙂 .
So! What about doing a bit of an introduction to the Lupus Academy? I know some of you may not know this institution and it’s worth getting to know how much our physicians work for our health 😀 .
What is the Lupus Academy?
The Lupus Academy is an educational initiative created in 2012 by 7 founders as a way to stimulate its members with new ideas and enhance enthusiasm for further interaction and discussion with their colleagues in lupus.
In their own words,
The Lupus Academy is a long-term initiative lead by a Steering Committee of 12 international experts in lupus. Its goal, according to their website, is to improve patient outcomes in SLE and allied diseases. By providing a highly interactive educational forum, the Lupus Academy is dedicated to sharing best clinical practice through the dissemination and discussion of cutting edge scientific and clinical research.
Do you want to know more about the Lupus Academy? Take a look at their website. There is so much more to come! And I will be telling you about the Middle East Lupus Summit next year!
